Imagine you're Manuel, and you call and say “Hey, this is Manuel.”
The person on the other end of the phone, apparently not listening to how you said your name, reads your name on their screen and says “Hi, MANUAL.”
It makes me want to go grab my microwave's owner's manual and slap it down in front of them and shriek, “THIS IS A FUCKING MANUAL. THE PERSON ON THE PHONE IS MAN-WELL. DEAL WITH IT.”
But I'm a professional, so I merely bitch about it on my blog.
Manuel is not a manual. Repeat after me. MANUEL IS NOT A MANUAL.
