Side effects
January 9, 2006 – 5:36 AMI just spent ten minutes lying here watching my pinky finger on my left hand twitch by itself. It was actually a small muscle in the far left palm of my hand that was making my pinky twitch. When I placed a finger on it, it felt pulselike, until it slowed way down and only twitched every few seconds. This only happens when nobody else is around for me to show them my way cool bugs in my brain's programming code.
It's a side effect of the meds. In extreme cases the drug can cause seizures. For me it's random and occasional muscle twitching. But it's also translating into shoulder/neck/jaw tension, which actually is becoming troublesome and annoying to me.
I know other people on this medication who have been prescribed muscle relaxers to counter this side effect, but I really don't want to imagine me on muscle relaxers at work.
Got a nice fat raise at work. I'm grateful for that. And I'm thankful for my friends, who showed me much love this weekend. I'm thankful for my apartment, which is cozy and homey and really quite spacious when I bother to un-clutter it. I'm thankful for my pets, who are loving and mischievous and sweet. I'm thankful Keith has the perfect guitar now. But most of all, people, I'd be thankful if some well-meaning vandals would break into my car and clean the litter out of my back floorboards for me. Hint hint.
