Thank god I'm not Denise Sharpe.
May 7, 2005 – 7:19 AMI need somebody else to untangle this for me anyway.
I wanted to buy an Isidore shirt. Knowing that T-shirt sizes are anything but standard, I decided to check out American Apparel, Inc., who makes the Isidore shirts, to check out measurements before I buy one.
So I typed http://www.americanapparel.com into my web browser. It happened to be the wrong website. I needed to go to .net, not .com. BUT –
MY NAME IS ON THEIR WEBSITE.
Figuring their site was pulling some dinky trick like reading my browser cookies to display “relevant advertising” or somesuch, I followed the link for laughs. But it wasn't a cookie trick. It's a hardcoded link. To a real website about a real restaurant and bar in … Kentucky … named with my name.
I JUST WANTED TO BUY AN ISIDORE SHIRT, DAMMIT.
I guess I will have to go to this joint next time I fly down south, though. I wonder if they'll let me eat for free if I whip out my ID.
