Eight to ten men and women crammed into the world's largest SUV pulled up in front of my building. Shouting and vehicle door slamming ensued. From what I heard and saw, they were apparently driving a large carpool for drunk people so that they could get home safely. Several of them were attempting to pick up this guy from across the street, but he resisted leaving with them and it turned into a large snowball fight.

A guy upstairs opened his window and started cheering them on and coaxing the drunk guy to get into the vehicle with them.

I woulda called the cops on the premise that this was truly riotous and disturbing noise, except that A) these people were doing their part to prevent drunk driving, and B) the jeers and shouting were so good-natured that it was bizarre. “Hey! White sweatshirt! Have a safe drive!” “Thanks buddy!” And at least snowballs were being slung, not bullets or fists.

Now, if my upstairs neighbor continues to invite over the 2-ton gorilla wearing wooden clogs on her hardwood floor while dancing in circles, I am so calling property mgmt.
